This two-day course focuses on emergency scenarios that maybe faced by child care professionals, including teachers, nursery workers and child minders.
Who should attend?
This course is for people caring for young children and babies in any setting.
The course will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to deal with accidents and emergencies involving young children or babies
Delegates will receive training in a range of First Aid topics including: –
First Aid priorities, Incident management
Resuscitation, including babies and children
Breathing problems including choking, asthma and allergic reactions
Management of wounds and bleeding
Recognition and treatment of shock
Burns and scalds
Sprains, strains and fractures
Poisoning, bites and stings
Childhood conditions (e.g. meningitis, croup)
Two days (9.30 am – 4.30pm), assessment is carried out by the trainer on the afternoon of the second day. Onsite courses can be delivered at times to suit you. Please call us with your exact requirements.
Assessment & Certification
Following successful completion of the course activities and a Multiple Choice Question paper delegates will receive a Paediatric First Aid Certificate which is valid for three years. The cost of the certificate is included in the course cost.
