Lakes Medics is based in Kendal the gateway to the English Lake District, in Cumbria just a few miles from Jnc 36 of the M6.

We provide a wide range of courses to businesses and individuals throughout the UK who need to comply with the Health and Safety (First Aid at Work) Regulations 1981.

Courses are led by Matthew who is a qualified advanced Emergency Medical Technician and First Aid Instructor to name a couple of his qualifications.

Matthew has over 18 years of professional emergency experience to bring his own particular expertise to the training.

The Standard Mental Health First Aid course is ideal for all including those individuals who support families and friends through a mental illness or health professionals who work with adults who are developing a mental illness or experiencing a mental health crisis.

Students will learn first aid skills for helping people experiencing a mental health crisis, the signs and symptoms of mental health problems, where and how to get help, and what sort of help has been shown by research to be effective.

Level 2 Manual Handling course provides an effective means of ensuring that the learner is aware of their responsibilities and understand the principles of the safe moving and lifting of a load. Manual handling accidents account for more than one third of all accidents reported each year to the enforcing authorities.
